Palmer Candy Company has announced a recall of 29 white-coated confectionery items, including candies, pretzels, and cookies, due to potential Salmonella contamination.
Although no illnesses have been reported, the recall was initiated after Palmer Candy’s liquid white-coating supplier alerted them to a possible Salmonella risk in an ingredient.
The affected products were sold under various brand names such as Palmer, Freshness Guaranteed, Sweet Smiles, Snackin’ With The Crew, Casey’s, Sconza Chocolates, Favorite Day Bakery, Sunny Select, Urge!, and Kwik Trip Inc.
These treats were distributed nationwide and could be found at major retailers including Walmart, HyVee, Target, and Dollar General. Additionally, they were shipped to distributors in states including Alabama, California, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
